The 27th Annual Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo will be held this weekend with breed shows Friday or Saturday, and all sales on Saturday, followed on Sunday with junior heifer, steer, and market heifer shows. I would like to spotlight the Red Angus Show and Sale, sponsored by the Kentucky-Tennessee Red Angus Association http://kytnredangus.com/, as well sponsors of the entire expo the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and Kentucky Farm Bureau.
The Kentucky-Tennessee Red Angus Association Show and Sale will feature consignors from Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Maryland. These breeders will present 41 lots consisting of 6 bulls, 21 open heifers, 8 bred heifers, 1 embryo package, 3 bred cows and 2 cow/calf pairs. With total cattle numbers on the decline it's a great time to build your herd with females and this sale offers 34 Red Angus females.

The Kentucky-Tennessee Red Angus Association supports their junior organization offering many activities and shows for members. This is a great opportunity for 4-H or FFA members to purchase a beef project animal. Heifers purchased in the Red Angus Sale as well as any breed sale are eligible to show in the junior show on Sunday.
The Red Angus show begins Friday, March 1, at 10:00 AM EST and the Red Angus Sale is Saturday, March 2, at 10:00 AM EST. A schedule of all shows and sales can be found at the following link: http://www.kybeefexpo.com/schedule.htm
If you have questions concerning the Red Angus show or sale, contact Sale Manager Johnnie Cundiff at 606-871-7438 or 606-636-6896

Hello, Wanda! I stumbled upon your blog, and I found your posts both helpful and interesting! I'm from Kentucky as well, and it's nice seeing what someone else from Kentucky contributes to farming. I also absolutely loved your tribute to your dad!
Thanks for your comments Kaitlyn! My problem lately has been making the time to write. It's rewarding knowing there are people reading and hopefully I can give some helpful information from time to time or just put a smile on someone's face.
